Welcome to Art x Science Conversations, a collaborative initiative by Emerging Creatives of Science and The Experimentalist, This webinar series brings together the science communication community to explore topics at the intersection of art and science, discussing key challenges and innovative solutions. The insights from these conversations are then transformed into public-facing content, including a podcast on Spotify, blog articles and social media posts, ensuring that the knowledge and ideas generated reach a broader audience.

Meet the founding team
Three scientists-turned-storytellers who connected on the challenges of transitioning from academia to entrepreneurship dreamt up a space where science, art and society could come together in meaningful interactions. In 2024, Art x Science Conversations was born and is on track to be just the space we imagined and more.
Anurag Srivastava, Ph.D.

Anurag is a science storyteller with a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine. As a science writer, he ensures that every piece of content not only informs but also shares real results. Outside of work, he loves to cook, travel, read - particularly books on science history - recite poetry and stay up to date on cricket matches.
Eisha Mhatre, Ph.D.

Eisha is a microbiologist, improv artist and founder of the science communication platform, The Experimentalist. She draws inspiration from performing artists in her science communication workshops, events and science stories. Offstage, you can find her birdwatching, taking long nature walks or exploring a local farmers' markets.
Melissa Pappas, MSc.

Melissa is a communicator at heart with a background in marine science. She is a self-taught artist, writer and project leader for Emerging Creatives of Science. Melissa enjoys packing research into aesthetically pleasing, accessible and action-oriented content. When not at work you can find her outside, hiking, dancing or making art just for fun.
